you guys have absolutely gotta watch this.
it was totally AWESOME.-squeals in delight-
haha.
you know how, in those drama serials people who are late/chasing someone always get blocked by old ladies ambling along or ladies with prams or cars that just keep zooming past?
that's what happened to us yesterday. ok, minus the cars part.
you see, we discovered at about 11am that hairspray is showing at 1125 at JP and decided to run for it, driven by the cheapo nanas in us who realised that thursday movies are cheaper--flash ur student pass and get it at 6! so we made a mad dash for col's car and set off.
and there was the unbelievably long red traffic light we were stuck at, with no cars or any moving thing in sight.
and the old lady carrying a bag of whatnots in front of us at the escalator.
we managed to squeeze past her and came face to butt with the lady in front, pushing her pram.
ran to subway, long queue. never mind, we decided that the staff SHOULD BE quite efficient.
and whoa-la.
the plus-sized couple in front of us ordered not one, not two, not even 5, but EIGHT sandwiches.
8.
let me let that sink in.
and the fact that we were running real late and praying for longer ads before the movie started.
the lady made 4 of them sandwiches when col's call came-she went to get the tickets first-and we definitely had to go.
joyce n i looked at each other for a few seconds and ran for the escalator, grabbed some bread from crystal jade bakery, and ran up another flight to col and the cinema and MY HAIRSPRAY MOVIE WHICH WAS REALLY REALLY GOOD.
missed abit of the front part though.
sigh, i guess i'll just have to watch it another time.
hee hee.
